Avet Center Soldeu and El Tarter

The aim of the AVET CENTRE is to enable children and teenagers to enjoy (non-competitive) skiing or snowboarding and develop their skills to a good technical level, while building relationships with their classmates and sharing experiences in a healthy and natural setting.

Seasonal school

The products offered by Soldeu - El Tarter Ski School are aimed to children between the ages of 3 and 18 (i.e. those born in 2019 or earlier). For families who regularly come to ski, they provide an ideal opportunity for children to learn how to ski or snowboard, enjoy themselves on the slopes and share the experience with other skiers of the same age.

Each age group has the same instructors throughout the season, thereby guaranteeing personalized monitoring of the progress of each child.

Daily Ski Programme

The daily ski programme for the groups at the AVET CENTRE is divided into three parts:

  • Warm-up: a significant amount of time is dedicated to working on individual skiing skills, mainly on the green and blue slopes.
  • Specific focus: working on a particular objective.
  • Cool-down: a time for fun, but without losing sight of the main objective of learning to ski. The work continues, but in a more fun and entertaining way.

The daily ski programme for the AVET KIDS group will be adapted in accordance with the stage of the season and the progress made by the group. The group will use the facilities of the Children’s School for their breaks and will also have access to other services, along with the Snow Garden in its entirety.

Complementary activities: Throughout the season there will be a number of complementary activities on offer, depending on the age group. These may include: an introduction to snowboarding, an introduction to freestyle with riders from the Park, Telemark skiing, ski testing (for parents), and more. We will also aim to take the children on visits to see the resort’s working areas and professional services that may be of interest to them, such as artificial snow production, ski patrollers, and snow-grooming machines. There will also be an opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of ice skating at the Palau de Gel in Canillo.
